Suffer from Twitter 'Limit Exceeded' error? This is a good post... http://ping.fm/TgcmF
Wordpress Autosave flashing button problems? Try this: http://ping.fm/30evH
Just off to PostOffice on my bike with a honking full black sack over the handle bars. See you in A&E or for you Americans, see you in ER.
Damn this WordPress Autosave, the whole site and Browser becomes unusable. Must be a way to alter the code to turn it off or alter the delay
Wordpress 2.5.1 Issue. Does anyone know how to remove the Autosave Post Feature, either via Plugin or altering the PHP? Pweaze?
WP2.5.1 Update has caused some issues with the Post Auto Save. Once the first AS is done, the site is unusable. chokes Firefox.Any ideas?

Spent most of the sunny day under duvet in the dark, sleeping and resting. That's burnout, physically and emotionally.

Thursday 24 April 2008

This 'bug', 'tiredness' I have had since the weekend, totally knocked me out. No work done WHATSOEVER, not good at all. Much to catch up on.
Reclaiming my Facebook home paged. Banned ALL 'silly' apps except my own useful choices. Overall neater, updates faster & easier to read.
Just maxed out my iMac to 3Gb memory. Forgot it only had this 3Gb limit, which is pants. God I feel awful...

Saturday 19 April 2008

Hic...
Almost a whole day without checking any of my Social feeds. Been a productive day, more than usual. Hmmm. What could that mean? Now to pub.
Planning on a weekend off from Twitter and any other time sinking social application. Much work to do... It's going to be hard.

Friday 18 April 2008

NO surprise, but having turned off all these distractions, even mail, I have achieved so much more and feel much happier for it. Happy Days.
So with that said, time for bed. A big night on town planned tomorrow evening, so need to be fresh faced to get some work done am & pm.
Tried to have a Twitter free day, free of any social networking and anything else. Even checking email, damn thats hard. Im addicted i think to checking email.

The Ultimate Password Recall Solution

My friend who works for British Telecom as a Network technician actually mentioned this to me the other day over a fine cool pint of Beck's.

The usual discussions over technical aspects turned into the one of the 'Password'. The ongoing struggle to retain memory of various passwords without resorting to the same one each time. We actually got onto this subject because of a worrying trend in the spammers, phishing, and other nefarious types who try to 'steal' your personal information from you, the password being the holy grail.

They now target the less sophisticated sites, such as your social networks, your blog etc. If they can steal your password from these sites, then they betting that at some point, they will find someone who uses the same password for their bank accounts, eBay, PayPal etc. Which is worryingly a very valid gamble. Up to quite recently, I was not particularly varied with my passwords. Although my main one was in itself 'very strong' it was often used time and time again.

This news became the reason why we just talked about the best ways to manage your passwords without relying on 3rd Party software applications that claim to manage all your passwords. Any application like this poses some threat. I don't like the idea of keeping all my 'passwords' in one place.

Simple solution is thus.

Create one main password, upwards of 8 characters, with numbers and letters, lower case and uppercase. The usual suspects. This you can then remember as you will be using this as the foundation for all subsequent passwords.

This next bit is the icing on the cake and will make sure that you can create a unique memorable password for EVERY site, bank account, eBay, PayPal, Blog, Social Network that you have and will continue to add to.

For example, if you need a new password for say, a new bank like First Direct use any combination of letters from those two words. You could use the first 2 letters 'FI'. Then you decide where these letters will sit on your main password.

So for example, if you main password was 'ImReally28YearsOldNot36' then you could add 'FI' to the beginning, the end or the middle, thus for example: 'ImReally28YearsOldNot36FI'.

Then apply the same logic to each new site. So if it's a new WordPress Blog, it would become 'ImReally28YearsOldNot36WO'. How you arrange the additional letters is up to you, you could choose any number of letters depending on how 'strong' you want it to be.

This way you create a unique password for every new site and it's dead easy to remember, as long as you keep to the same format. Each time you log on, your reminder is the name of the site you are logging onto. Magic. You should never ever forget a password again, and you will not have to rely on using the same exact password for everything any more or reliance on the many password applications designed to 'manage' your passwords.

But I do like Alertthingys cool white out logos for each service. Very smart.
People complaining because Thwirl has listened and added FF but not integrated it within one window or tab. So? Dump Alertthingy then.
People seem to want all bells and whistles added to what is a small, floating app. Air apps works because of small footprint. Keep it simple
Do people actually care if I got to the Post Office or not? :)
Back from Post Office, after taking dog down with me on my bike. Very gusty today, bit chilly as well. Back to work. Oh mercy.
Another busy busy day of being 'creative', after all, I am 'justcreative'. Oh my... Now packed eBay and Amazon and off to Post Office.

A test post from Blog It on FaceBook

A test post from Blog It on FaceBook
Need a clean, stylish, modern, junk free logo designed? Let me know and I might even do it for 'almost' free. Just catch up with me online. :0)
Ping.fm has my love. All they need is add more microblogs, support for Wordpress.org, Adobe Air App & OSX Widget & world domination assured.
Am tempted with the new 6Apart 'Blogit' tool that you use from FaceBook. But I don't much like FaceBook, so not using it. So There.
Java a.k.a. coffee beans need to be shredded, whipped, crushed and spun. Then add a steady flow of hot water and enjoy...

Wednesday 16 April 2008

Got me an invite to Soocial. So now all set-up and raring to go. Love the web cam they have up.
New post on Blog comments and twitter... http://ping.fm/AzESR
Regardless of how great AlertThingy is, Im still going to be using Ping.fm to post the majority of my updates.
Could Thwirl be the 'Betamax v VHS' or 'HD v BlueRay' of the Twitter Adobe Air Twitter duel? I love melodrama.
How come all my super productive days produce a super UNproductive following day? :\ Been in a total funk all day and achieved nothing.
I think will need to get another LCD monitor just to have all my various IM and Adobe Air clients up. Even on a 24" Im running out of space.

Tuesday 15 April 2008

New Blog post on Twitter and Sex spammers : http://ping.fm/bZdLZ
Just writing up a Blog post about Ping.fm with some of my newly knocked up Chicklets and Badges.
Police looking for bike rider here near where I live, the A27 in East Sussex, after video on u-tube shows him doing 150mph to a Rock Track.
Just packed up some Amazon and eBay stuff, now off to Post Office, then back to do some graphic design and social networking for rest of eve
I also do the 'unofficial' official 'candid' wedding and party photography. I don't believe in posing, so I do natural shots, much better.
What am I doing? I am looking for work thats what I am doing... Have had some work looking for me which is nice...
One off logos, ideas, consultancy available for FREE, give me a shout if I can help you with anything. Im trying to establish myself here :)

Monday 14 April 2008

And now my FB gets updated with these posts, they will read and feel alienated and now ignore me for speaking out of term. Happy Days.
Most of my 'home' friends, all use FaceBook religiously, but have no idea what that thing called Twitter is about, let alone Web 2.0. Duf.
Holy moly... went to town to post some ebay things, ended up meeting some friends in pub and 3 beers later, cycled home... Duf.
So a busy sought of productive day today, sorted some big problems out, done some design, wrapped some ebay/amazon things... Not bad.

Sunday 13 April 2008

Just added some more chicklets, badges for 'Fuzz-Music Uprising' http://ping.fm/av3r3
Managed a mini sleep in this morning, first one in while. Had a run with the dog along the beach and now going on my Marin for a ride.

Saturday 12 April 2008

FInding myself writing thoughts on here now more than my Blog, which is none to good really. Need to distribute the time more effectively...
Trying to fill in all the blanks on my LinkedIn profile... phew: http://ping.fm/dyixL

Friday 11 April 2008

Please tell me there is a PING.fm Adobe Air Application on its way? not now though koz im drunk as a skwunk.
Doesn't help that in the 20 years of being creative, most of my portfolio resides on DAT tape at my former place of work... No access.

Thursday 10 April 2008

Wooh, thats me for the night. Totally exhausted and drained in every way imaginable. Watch one episode of SG1 then bed time.
Anyone think there should be or ought to be, a Adobe Air App for Ping.fm? I do, I do. So where is it?
New post on Delicious and a new Chicklet and Badge knocked up for anyone who wants to use them...http://ping.fm/zuu8w
Looking to get book on jquery, any recommendations?
In the park, on a sunny day. Should be at home working, but not. So there.
Upgraded Thwirl this morning and now it does not seem to be working at all. There's a lesson there somewhere
Looking forward to the FriendFeed Air app, what would be useful is a PING.fm Adobe Air app, that WOULD be sweet!

Wednesday 9 April 2008

So now from PING.FM, i am updating all Blogger, Facebook, Jaiku, LiveJ, Myspace, Pownce, Twitter, and tumblr
Having utter mare with Amazon and this most obnoxious individual I have ever had the misfortune to do business with.
If i don't pull the blinds down in my studio on a glorious day like today, then I tend to stare out the window, thus productivity is less.

Tuesday 8 April 2008

Book Recommendation: 'Get into Bed with Google' by Jon Smith - Superb, concise, fact packed, pocket size. A MUST read.
Does anyone have a invite for SOOCIAL: http://ping.fm/kedrl

Monday 7 April 2008

That's me done for the night, feel my head imploding from the glare of my iMac 24" (boast) with the room in total darkness.
Initial thoughts on Favorit are of confusion, but it is late and I was planning on calling it a day ealier before I got the invite.
Just finally received a invite for Fav.or.it from a nice chap on Twitter: cgrainer. Now my work is done...
